The Capital Equipment Trading Floor adds an element of perfection to otherwise imperfect markets by making timely market information available to the owners, carriers and market makers operating the North American freight car fleet. The Trading Floor is an electronic marketplace where buyers and sellers meet to complete transactions and selling prices are determined by market forces. Trading is conducted according to strict regulations and accounting standards. Qualified buyers and sellers may select from any or all of the fifteen (15) FreightCar.com Marketplaces where equipment is listed for sale or lease. Market efficiency is created as participants log on to the Trading Floor. As new listings are added participants receive an e-mail alert for every Marketplace for which they are registered. Each e-mail will detail all equipment available for that Marketplace along with recently completed transactions, sale prices or lease rates. Offers may be submitted to FreightCar.com via e-mail at any time and are subject to the terms and conditions of the Website Agreement.

• Qualified Buyers and Sellers on the Capital Equipment Trading Floor may remain anonymous and are assured of complete confidentiality throughout the bidding process.
• Buyers pay no sales commissions; sellers pay a small percentage of sale proceeds upon completed transactions only. Sales commissions are based upon feasibility and marketability criteria including expected proceeds and are determined on a case by case basis. Listing with the FreightCar.com Trading Floor is free.
• Sellers may reject any and all offers; equipment inspections and technical evaluations by FreightCar.com prior to listing on the Trading Floor are mandatory to ensure the quality of the asset and to assist in the selling process.
• FreightCar.com provides complete service in all aspects of the trading function, from equipment inspections and technical evaluations to logistics, documentation and funding. There is no charge for services in connection with any completed transaction.
